I am getting a lot of rattle with a 12" sub in the trunk playing at moderate volume. The trunk metal sheets, panels, and license plate have all been dampened already but I am still getting a rattling noise from inside the rear bumper. It sounds exactly like the license plate rattle but the rattling is not coming from the license plate. Any idea of how to get rid of this rattle?

Its the pressure vent in the trunk. It has a flap on it. Stuff a bunch of poly fill in the hole, and then put a sheet of Dynamat over the opening on the outside to seal out any junk that could get caught in the poly fill.

Just slid under the bumper and look up you'll see it. Its on the drivers side... if I remember correctly.

 

Its 99.9% the trunk locking mechanism. take a zip tie, and wrap it around the mechanism, TIGHT....this should get rid of it. If not, we'll try again.
