This is a documentation of my labors(good and bad ). This is also the first time I have ever worked with fiberglass or made my own enclosure. Constructive pointers are more than welcome ... flaming is not.

My "vision" for this project will hopefully result in an enclosure that will allow me to once again stow my golf clubs or travel bag(s) in the trunk while not losing the punch of two 10's of which I have grown accustomed. The enclosure will also serve to satisfy my need for "bling!" The idea is to has an enclosure with a clear plexiglass top piece holding the subs while the inside of the enclosure will be finished smooth and painted to match my car- Sebring. LED's will light the the enclosure. This project is only part of my plan to redo the entire layout of my system.

It's late, but later I will add a list of the supplies I used and their quantities in this first post. NOTE: If you must work in a closed area, PLEASE use a respirator, not just a little 3M mask. Some folks react differently to inhalation of fumes. I don't do so well.

Also, this project will not be completed in a week or two. I can't just work on it everyday. I will, however, post as progress takes place. Thanks for looking and critiques are welcome.

One question: If you pushed the edge of the fiberglass up under the lip in the well how do you plan on gettinig the mold out??

It's not a mold... I'm trying to use every possible bit of space in an effort to keep the top of the enclosure as low as possible. The displacement of my subs = .1 cubic ft making my minimum space equalling 1.3 cubic ft.

Guys, it's not coming out! If it ever does, it will be in pieces. Also, my thought(right or wrong) was/is to have the enclosure use the rigidity of the existing structure(tool well).
