Fiberglassing My Trunk for Sub Enclosure with Pictures
Uhhhh......... I go to Ohio and already my thread has been changed to a "For Sale" thread.
And why do folks say, "It's for a 10" sub." The hole may house a 10" sub, but the requirements for subs vary. I have learned from others much more versed in the sonic arena that there is a big difference between the requirements of an Elemental Designs 10" and the JL 10W7.
Thanks for shopping your wares on a documentation thread.
Do I sound irritated? Probably all this damn snow. Global warming, my butt!

WG- Have the guy actually measure the internal volume. Water, sand, and packing peanuts have been suggested means. Compare that volume to the recommended volume of the speaker you wish to purchase.
I had never heard of ED for speakers. I always thought that was something some unfortunate guys had to suffer through!
Anyway, my JL 10W3v2's suggest between .6-.9 cu ft. while the ED 10a(?) requires .5 max. When multiplying that by two, there is a significant difference in space required. Only problem is that I cannot afford two ED 10a series subs with the money I already have invested in the JL's.
I am no guru... only passing along what I have learned from others on this board and my local shop. Good luck!

OFF topic: How do you like your CAI, I'm thinking of getting one but don't know where to start.
Still Off Topic: I like your vanity plate, why are there so many in Virginia?
Kinda Off Topic: JK about th JL comment, all my friends are telling me that's the only way to go.
of course they all told me to get an RX8 , too.
On topic: Let's see some more pics!!

New problem now. It's too big... the tool well!
1.86 cu.ft. minus sub displacement(.1 for two subs) and any add'l bracing I might want to add. I want to go ahead and mount the top plate below the "main level." This will allow me to use just as much trunk space as I did before any custom installs- I don't consider the Stealthbox a "custom" job.
My big concern is now how do I get the top "below deck." I know I will need to build up some kind of lip in order to have more support for the top piece. Any ideas? Thanks again.
