Default What you're VTEC engage point

SO I'm curious as to how many of you modded s2000's have lowered your VTEC point. For those that have, how low did you go? Still have the spike in your dyno at VTEC like the rest of us at 6K or did it smooth out you HP and torque curves.

Curious to to see who has the lowest. Without it running like crap of course

Thanks!

I'm running 5,500 with a Vortech, and that seems like a good point. It's smooth through the VTEC engagement. I've heard of others running 5,400.

Nice...did any of you dyno tune the VTEC or just select a new point that felt best? Any dyno graphs, just curious how much smoother your torque/HP curves are? THanks!

I didn't dyno any, but to be honest I'm considering dyno'ing both cams this week for kicks. If I do, I'll post.

I've been told you can not remove the dip at 5000 rpm unless you decrease the HP.
The Vtec transition was at 5500. Note how the torque just keeps going up. Most of the dynos I have seen the torque levels off and doesn't continue to climb. We'll probably play with the Vtec transition tomorrow when we put it back on the dyno. If it makes a difference, I'll post.
