Default As requested by Ajira...LED pics, (56KNO!)

I started a new thread to warn the 56K people......

Anyway, Ajira asked me about 168 bulbs (the ricy superwhite ones that melt your headlights, look blue when off, and eat a ton of power. Here is my solution....

168 LED bulbs, consisting of 6 white leds from www.superbrightleds.com
they are 3.59 a piece....

+Never burn out
+Invisible when off
+Free up some extra power
+Dont get remotely warm
+Cheaper than the superwhites

Here are some pics..........

some day time shots...notice that the bulb is 99% invisible....only a trained eye can see it.
Notice the dope wax job....you can see the pebbles in my foor!

Ok, time for some nightshots......

No flash was used in this picture....

Flash was used in this picture, so it drowned them out a bit...

No flash front shot....

LEDs from a dead on angle....look like mini HIDs, illuminate VERY well in pitch black areas.

Up close....

Sidemarker lit....

Sidemarker up close...

HID comparison...although in pictures you cant really tell 100%, they match the HIDs flawlessly.

A little closer

Overall, I highly recommend this little mod, as it looks great, really functional, and costs less money in the long run. This will also work very well for people with stock lenses, as the orange will be brighter.

I am going to purchase the front turn signal bulbs as well. I installed them before, but they hyperblinked, but the site has resistors that make the car think its a normal bulb and they will blink normally.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Here you go......

If you do decide to do this.....make sure you get the above bulbs and NOT these....

The inverted cone ones. I have like 20 of these, because I was gonna switch most of my car to LEDs....but they are not NEAR as bright at the 6 led ones.

If you "legal" guys have clear corners and want to have amber parking lights and sidemarkers, (which the law really states turn signals, only some states have laws on parking lights,) you can get these
And just paint the yellow part white.

They also have great LED interior lights, which I used

For people with dimming systems, these DO NOT dim!

SOLD!

Trust me John, they are great. I cant wait to change my turn signals to LEDs. I love the instant ON/OFF action, without the conventional bulb fade.

I did my tailights as well, but the bulb wasnt the right one, so it wasnt bright enough. I will post pics when they are ALL converted.

Remember system guys, LEDs DO NOT DIM!

Parking Lights
Sidemarkers
Rear mini taillight (the small one to the left of the rings)

RED is $2.99
Blue is $3.49
White is $3.59

Considering they NEVER burn out, I think its a good deal.

Damn John how lazy can you get???

Its like 12 bucks worth of bulbs and about 3.43567 minutes to install each one. You are one lazy bastard. Guess you are spending to much time lighting those damn crossovers.
