I finally completed my nitrous setup this week. Here's the details:

System Diagram of the setup:

Zex Wet Kit (55-75 HP) with pressure switch to cut Nitrous at about 3 psi of boost and over-ride switch via steering wheel cruise control buttons (in case you REALLY want nitrous at full SC boost):

Custom Nitrous switch and ARM LED:

Remote Nitrous Gauge in radio door:

Remote Nitrous bottle opener, heater, and pressure sender:

Purge kit into Vortech Aftercooler (N-ter cooler style)

And finally the HP curve with Nitrous Assist:

I run NGK Racing Spark plugs (7173)

If you go SC route, make sure you get a wet kit. Stock injectors are maxed out with SC alone.

could you possibly give more specfics on this pressure switch that cuts off nitrous at 3psi or is it a window switch set to 6500rpm and guesstimating is 3psi at that rpm??

The pressure switch is adjustable. Some what crude, but you can adjust via a dial. I have an LED that indicates when the switch is active. (Green LED above the heater control switch in one of the pictures above) The pressure switch itself is located under the dash, with the pressure feeding from the manifold and out to the Vortech box.

Just drive and you can monitor RPM, pressure, and cut-off point. Adjust as needed.

The pressure switch actually energizes the relay that feed the throttle position to the ZEX control unit. When the pressure reaches the set point, the switch opens and de-energizes the relay, thereby making the ZEX control unit think that you let off the throttle and effectively turns off nitrous.

The Cruise control switch acts as and over-ride switch to re-engerize the relay and turns back on the nitrous.

Tuning is currently done with VAFC-II. However, with the wet kit, it comes preadjusted for Fuel/nitrous ratio -- based on the jets used on the nitrous and fuel input lines. You can fine tune if you wish with the VAFC.

As for tuning, your best bet is to dyno the setup with and without nitrous. For optimal results, you'll need two maps. One with and one without nitrous.

could you let me know who makes the pressure switch or if you made it yourself do you mind providing the specs. I have progressively controlled units that are all timed based but have yet to discover a pressure controlled unit. I would be very grateful if you could provide some spec. Thanks in advance.

Got mine on ebay for about $30.

Do a search for nitrous pressure switch and you'll find it.

Should look like this:

BTW, for increased protection don't run the nitrous with SC unless you are using either racing gas or have added high quality octane boost to your tank.
