Need Honda Alarm Help ASAP

Default Need Honda Alarm Help ASAP

Whats up guys......Im helping a fellow s2000 owner install a stereo, and have a problem.

I dont have a factory alarm so I have no idea....

I had to remove the battery to stick the power wire through, and then when I reconnected it, the horn continuosly sounds, I cant stop it, and the top wont go back up. Whats goin on???

I have a Honda OEM alarm and when I installed my stereo I had to do the same as you and I had no problem.

I think you can download a pdf copy of the Honda alarm instructions.

See if this Odyssey alarm manual has any info.

Well....since the batt is connected, and the top wont go down....what happened?

Maybe you blew a fuse.

The horn sounding is because power was interupted to the alarm. Try pushing the disarm button on the key fob when the horn is going off. This "should" turn off the alarm.

As for the top fuse,
You must check fuse #5, 7.5A, in the driver's footwell fuse panel
AND
fuse #25, 7.5A, also in the footwell panel.
Both of these fuse the convertible top control unit.


Also, if those are OK, look at fuse #52, 20A, right top motor
AND
fuse #55, 20A, left top motor.
These are located in the engine bay in a black box near the battery.
