I have already done some searches in the S2000 Talk and read the TSB that covers "Service Bulletin 03-023: Convertible Top Creaks, Pops, or Rattles While Driving Over Rough Roads." But this really doesn't get to my problem. Recently, when I am at a stand still and putting up my top, it pops kinda loud on the drivers side. This pop happens after I have latched both sides. Then if it doesn't pop then, it will usually pop when I put the window up. Any help would be appreciated!!

 

You gotta be kidding me, all of the knowledge on this board, and not 1 reply!!!! Come on, I now there has to be someone who has an idea.

 

never had that happen...sorry...

 

mine pops when i latch the passenger side AFTER i've latched the drivers side.

sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. that's the only time it pops though.

 

The striker on the windshield header, or the hook on the latch is worn?

Put your hand on the latch and try to feel the pop.

Your hands will find the pop faster than your ears. Is the pop really in the latch?

i don't think it's a big deal, just annoying sometimes. it doesn't pop when i latch them at the same time though. latching one side at once is just a convenience thing, but therein lies the problem. i wouldn't sweat it too much.
