where to tap 12V power for gauges? i need pics !

Default where to tap 12V power for gauges? i need pics !

i want to put some gauges in but where do i tap in for power ??? fuse box ? if so how do i do this ? do i find an unused fuse plug,plugin some adaptor into the empty fuse and solder on the wire onto the back of the plug ?

i am used to tapping power from the cigarrette lighter but the plug in this car is too far away ..
where do u thread the wires from the engine bay into the car ??
can someone post some pics of where and how ?! thx

You can use one or more of the "free" power taps on the underdash fuse panel.
One is hot constant, one is hot with ignition, one is hot with dash lights. Use a voltmeter to check which is which. You'll need female spade connectors on the ends of your wires to plug in. There is a ground "octopus" on the frame near and above the fuse panel.

To aid XVIPERS post....




For power (if you want them to light up)

Use E....that goes on with the headlights.

If you want them lit up constantly, use C.

DO NOT use D....it will drain your battery.
