i might have because the rest of my keys rests on my knee (s2000 is so small). could that have caused it?

haha, yeah that happened to me before, I was like ohmigod, the car just turned off!! everything still on, even the dash, car was off on the highway, i had my foot on the clutch and it was still in 5th or 6th gear and it just started back up when the clutch came out! I was so scared and then I realized, the key had to have gotten bumped somehow, everything has been fine since (that was 6 mos ago) Scary, huh? lol

This actually happened to me in my Prelude. The problem turned out to be the igniter. At the time, my Prelude was over 5 years old. I don;t think that is the problem with your S2K, bur if it persists, you might want to look into it.
