Does your car cough and choke when it's turned off?
Something I've noticed that kinda bothers me about my car now that I've had it a while. When I turn it off... it feels like I'm stalling; the engine putters and coughs and then dies. Is it normal?
Oh yeah, and nother thing... sometimes when I'm pulling out in reverse, then stop and depress the clutch to go into first the engine will come really close to stalling (even though the clutch is fully engaged). Actually... it happens when shifting into first sometimes too. Is that normal?

This is not normal. When you turn the key off, the car should stop immediately. What you describe is a slight "dieseling" or "run on". Your car is too new to be doing this. Mine is an '00 and has always shut down right away. You should get it looked at if indeed what you describe is accurate. Having said this, you may however, be experiencing a bit of engine vibration upon shut down, causing a bit of rattling in the heat shields or other loose items in the engine bay. This, is normal.
The second thing you describe sounds like a typical MAP sensor issue. Try the "MAP whack" trick. Firmly tap the MAP sensor a few times with the rubber end of a screwdriver. Also undo the wiring harness and put it back solidly. Pull the "BACK UP" fuse in the under dash fuse panel for 30 seconds. If this does not fix it, then have it looked at. You could also have a slightly malfunctioning idle air control valve/solenoid.
