Default Alpine + Ipod - New Product

http://www.alpine-usa.com/products/leading...ch_kca-420i.htm

You've probably seen BMW's lame iPod solution (lame because the track name is not displayed .. pretty tough to find 1 out of your 10,000 songs then...). This one from Alpine is considerably better looking.

Cool, thanks for posting! Looks like September is the latest availability date.

My one complaint is the HUGE and kludgy styling of the AiNet modules. They look like those childrens' electronics kits you get from Radio Shack. Maybe the Realistic brand is still in business!

It says any '04 head-unit. If its AI-Net it should work with my 9833 from last year..right?

61.6 Cubic inches!!! For an interface!

To put it in perspective, that volume is equivalent to 10.1 original Ipods...

or...

17.1 Ipod Minis!!!

Absolutely, it should work with the 9833. It's AiNet and it's a current model.

They specifically seem to avoid saying anything about doing random play - I really hope I can randomize across my selections - I am 1/3 through ripping best-ofs from the 600+ Cds in my collection specifically for this.

Anyone know where to get the best price on a 40gb ipod? Looks like I might be able to pull one down on ebay for $400-$420.
