I just installed the interface to a Alpine CDA-9830 today. I placed the iPod box under the driver seat and ran the wire behind the storage compartment, drilling a rectagular hole on the side of the smaller top storage compartment. The iPod fits perfectly in there and the interface on the head unit works suprisingly well. It's not nearly as intuitive as the iPod itself but it beats storing it in the cupholder with the AUX wiring hanging around. I'll post some pics later of the placement and installation.

late,

No, the owners manual lists these decks as the only ones that work for the 2004 model year and before. 2005 MY headunits will all say in the product description on the Alpine site if they work with iPods.

(Ai-NET compatible head unit sold as of January 2004)
