I'll give you $40 US shipped for the seat bolts and the key you are removing.

What kind of comment is that, Scot... "Does it matter?"

Well, yeah it'll matter if you strip it. Oh, and yeah, it'll matter if your seat comes loose and you have an accident...

Honda puts the spec in the shop manual. Is that enough of a justification for you?

seems kind of anal...... it is pretty hard to strip a metal screw going into a metal floor unless you are godzilla!

do you "torque" your oil filter on, or do you do what 99.9% of the world does and put it hand tight and then about 1/2 a turn past that with the wrench?

Front bolt is 16# torque and Back bolt is 22# torque (going from my personal notes... book is out in the garage).

Doubled checked; that's the right spec's.

PS- I agree, it is foolish not to set any bolt to the proper torque if known. And as for the oil filter, that's why they put the markings on the filter 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, etc. and tell you how far to torque it when it seats. Again, it is foolish not to follow the proper procedures, be it filters or bolts.
