Freq, contact Kodokan_4. He can hook you up with the McGard locking bolts, although I don't know what the original poster is doing with his/hers.

It's possible to use a torque wrench on the front bolts, I did when I installed my McGuard's.

How you get a torque wrench behind the seat to use on the rear bolts is beyond me.

you torque wrench guys crack me up....... I am guessing you same guys have tested the coolant to make sure it is within the specified ranges..... maybe even take the wheels off to clean the back side of them when you wash the car?

Wish I had that kind of free time... I am too busy eating pretzels watching the olympics.

Use the seat lever and slide the seat forward. You have lots of room, as I recall.

i have never used a torque wrench inside any car.

As for seats, snug the bolts down by hand, use a 1/2 rachet and tighten until
you know it is tight.

If you don't know when it is too tight, then you probably shouldn't be using a wrench
Just for the record, I've done a ground up car restoration and have been doing my own repairs and maintenance since before most on this board were born. I wonder how many others have. There are a lot people who do not work with tools every day. They have no experience (zero, nothing) to call upon to determine when a bolt or nut is properly seated. I suspect, the majority, without a torque wrench will over tighten. If you own a torque wrench and know the proper bolt torque spec, why in the world would you not use it. Because you don't want to bother or because you don't care. That's why I don't buy used cars.
