Has Anyone removed the rollbar cover?
I am tossing a few ideas around for customization and I want to take a look at what is behind the roll-bar cover. I just did a preliminary attempt to take it off, but I am at an impasse. Has anyone done this?
Does anyone have any pics?
If someone has done this, could you provide me with instructions?
Please HELP!

The rollbar cover is sealed around the roll bar hoops. The cover can split into two pieces, but they won't go back together without crazy glue or polystyrene cement. If you mess up that part you are out $310 at Dealership Honda Parts prices. The removal of these pieces isn't that difficult, but it is time consuming. You'll need to remove the tray under the convertable top, the panels behind the seats, and the center mount glove box. Its a real drag and it will likely take you an hour or two to remove the parts the first time.

Thanks for searching If you remove the covers, and leave the bars bolted in, the rest of the interior plastic won't have anything to attach to. It's not going to look very presentable. If you don't reinstall the interior plastic, you'll be hearing every rock and sand grain that hits the inner wheel wells.

I would reinstall all the interior plastic EXCEPT the rollbar covers. Can you think of ways to secure these pieces in the absence of the rollbar covers?
Thanks again.

You may end up having to make some brackets to attach everythong back. Not really much point though, The inside of the car won't look very "finished" with the roll hoops missing.
Have a look at the interior removal section in the Helm manual. The only way you'll know if you'll get what you're after is to take it apart and see.
