Default possible S2K custom stealth box group buy

Some of you guys have seen what my shop can do in terms of a custom stealth box that sits between the seat that can house either two 6" subs, one 8"/10" Diamond Audio subwoofer, or any low profile subwoofer of the same sizes.
We are now looking to do another design (ver 3.0), that will not only retain the shape of the original storage bin, but will also allow you to retain the front storage facility of the unit, while also having the subwoofer enclosure behind it.
The unit will be padded, vinyl wrapped with double stitching seams, and will be a perfect replacement for the storage bin. You will have your choice of either burgundy red, black, yellow or white thread stitching.
What i would like to know is, how many people out there are willing to commission this to be done? All you would need to do is take out the storage bin, and drop it in and connect it up to your choice of amps. If there is enough interest, then Ill have my guys start building them to spec. Pricing for this box would be in the $1200 range with subwoofer/shipping. If i get 10 or more interested parties with deposit, then the price will drop to $1000 even.

here are some pictures of version 2:

PS: if you are in the bay area, we can install the box for you at no charge.

(Mods: this is just a feeler thread to see if we can do business on S2Ki. If we can, then we would apply for vendor status when we start taking deposits. Thanks in advance)

that looks awsome, but the price is pretty steep. maybe u should offer it w/out the sub woofer or something to bring the price down.

We have actually thought long and hard about the pricing and its a fair price for what you are getting. The JL stealth box design thats offered for the S2k goes for about $600+ dollars and it just goes into the tub in the trunk. It is no where near as trick as our unit. In addition, not only will you get to retain some of your storage, get custom color stitching, built to your musical specification, and free installation if you are a bay area resident, you will also get bass that is ported directly into the cabin. It helps alot when you have the top down because you can still hear the bass. We can even upholster it in leather if you want for an extra fee.

I suppose if anyone is interested in having the box built without subwoofer, we can lower the price by $200. But the interested party will need to supply us with the specs on which ever sub they intend to use. Keep in mind that some subs like the W7, and subs that have a large depth will not work. If anyone is interested, please post here so we can all keep track. If we can get 8-10 people to put down deposits, then the price will drop to $1000 w/ sub, or $800 w/o sub.

Info we will need to make sure the box is right for you:
Which type of subwoofer would you like to use
What type of music do you listen to mainly
What color thread did you want to use for the stitching
Did you want a ported, or sealed configuration
What color vinyl, or leather
How much power will you be putting to the box

Ill check back periodically, or PM if you have questions.

thanks again.

Motor Music is the shop that did my install and I couldn't be happier with the results. Absolutely top notch and highly recommended. (No, I am not being paid to say this.)

Ed, are you still there? I was the guy who had to move to Denver. How's things? This new stuff you're doing sure looks nice. Wish I could afford it but the Z6s and 450/4 broke the bank. Haven't regretted it for a second, though. Still sounds excellent. Keep up the good work.

The pictures I have seen in another thread looked pretty sloppy. Given the limited storage already available I can't see going this direction.

At the very least, you need to be a registered member here to sell (no Guest status).

Mac, if you could pm me with the info, id be glad to do so.

Steve C. the new design would retain the frontal storage bin that folds down.

AznDrunkenyoon: see above comment. you can keep it there in case you get pulled over again.

Dierk: Ed says Hi! i hope you're not freezing your nuts off over in denver!

You need to enter your VIN into the system to remove the 'Guest' title and become a 'Member'. Then, you create a Vendor account with S2kI. After that, you can create a thread in the Group Buy forum for $50/post, which will last for 90 days.

Sorry, closing this thread. We have very strict guidlines for selling as stated by MacGyver. If you decide to do a group buy I will be happy to post a note at the top of the electronics forum with the information and a link to the group buy for as long as the group buy is open. Like I've done for MacGyver.
