My opinion on that thread is that in your hands the WRX and S2000 may be even, however the s2k is hard to drive at the limit and the WRX is not, you may have been at about 8/10ths on your s2k while you were 9.5/10ths on the WRX.

It just doesn't make sense that a car that brakes better, slaloms and skidpads better, has more force at the wheels, is lighter and has a stiffer chasis and better suspension is equal to the other.

My opinion on your opinion is that you should stick to talking about what you know about. You don't know me, so you don't know what kind of a driver I am. Frankly your comment is insulting. I can assure you I was at 10/10ths in both cars, and if I was such a poor driver as you imagine, I would never have been doing 1:14.5s and outrunning M3s with experienced drivers.

I can assure you that there is no way that an S2000 on stock tyres is going to better 1:13:xx on that track. You only have to look at the kind of machinery that's doing those times in very experienced hands. A heavily modified 350hp M3, running R compounds, in the hands of one of the best drivers in the club, was doing 1:11.xx.

Having the same driver in both cars is the closest anyone is going to get to a fair comparison. Have you even driven a WRX? It has massive grip and impressive chassis balance. How many times do I have to tell you that in production car racing here the WRXs are consistently ahead of the S2000s? In standard trim, on the tyres supplied by the manufacturer, I put the Honda slightly ahead (doesn't that make you happy? ). When my R compounds for the WRX arrive it will be the other way round.

Sorry if you don't like it, or can't explain it with your slalom and skidpad numbers, but it's a fact. Try driving both cars on a track next time, then come and argue with me.
