Default Anyone else over 100K miles?

Just FYI, badges are no longer assigned. If you'd like the badge, just copy the badge image and insert into your signature. Happy motoring!

Just curious. I rolled 100k a few months back and was wondering if anyone else has too. If so, what kind of problems have you had?

Everbody interested in a 100k mi badge, PM Airgate NOT 1FastS2k......

ATTENTION (edited by airgate 8-8-09 @ 12:40pm)

We now have the 100K CLUB BADGES available for anyone who wants them...just post here on this thread and I'll add you to the badge list. THANKS!!!

I really haven't had any MAJOR problems so far (knocking on wood).
I had the ECU replaced under warranty.
The clutch tsb done @ around 32k. The buzz comes back.
I started getting holes in my top around 30k mi, but they wouldn't do anything about it.
I've gone through quite a few tires.
My trunk light doesn't work, but probably just burnt out.
I started noticing wear on my seat and on the hump in the carpet in the beginning, but changed the way I get in and out of the car and it seems to have helped.
My OEM shocks were blown from running HKS springs for so long so I switched to the Buddy Club coil overs.
Because I run so low, I've hit a few road hazards. I've had to replace the entire front crossmember, X brace, the trans mount twice, rear tie bar twice, exhaust twice, and front lip.
I'm getting a vibration from the rear, so I'll check that out in the next couple weeks.

So far that's all I can really think of right now. Most of the miles are highway and it's held up better than I expected. All in all, I'm pretty happy w/ the car, it's got a few minor issues, but definitely holding up well.

Saw this and had to comment. I have had 5 new cars in my short time on this planet. 3 of the 5 have lasted a loooong time. 3 of them are still alive after 250,000+ miles and I know this because they were purchased from me by close friends.

It all comes down to how well the car is maintained and how it was driven by the owner. If you abuse the car or dont change the oil? it will show up later in the cars life and will lead to problems. Its not hard to take care of a car if you follow basic car care. If you get lazy and let the maint. slide the car will be in trouble later on.

There is no reason a modern car can not survive 100,000 miles if properly taken care of.

Original owners!!! you know who you are.

Secondary, third, fourth owners and so on...... make sure you know the history of that car.

True... but the typical modern car doesnt have
to spin 9K RPM whenever called upon.

(In MY personal opinion... a 9K RPM S2000 motor lasting 100K miles is like a typical accord motor lasting 200K miles.... very impressive)

Also very, very much matters how those miles are put on....

Bland, flat, highway miles are much easier on the car than stop and go city miles.

An urban car can easily see 4x the revving, shifting, cornering, and braking of a mainly highway cruiser.

I've heard that highway cruising can take as little as 20hp to maintain....

Mine is about to hit 105,000 and I've had zero problems other than a clutch replacement at 59,000. And that wasn't necessary, just sick of the decel buzzing.

Right now atm I got 99,950 miles... i should break 100k tomorrow. Ive owned the car 1 year and put 36k on the car since ive owned it. I've had no major problems, just routine maintenance and parts replacement and dont see any problems looming in the future. Id have to say that 80% of the miles that I put on it are HWY miles since I commute to work. I look to get a beater car in the very near future since I plan on keeping my s2000 forever.
