Anyone else over 100K miles?
Just broke 100k this morning! My baby now has 100,009 miles! Not to mention last night I had a run in with a Ford Lightning and kept up with him pretty well, not sure... but I might have caught up with him. I must say, I dont think MY01 has lost a lick of power... wonder if its gained more!
PS:I support the 100k badge!!

Over 3 years ago the topic of how long an S2000's motor would last came up. Some thought that due to it's high revving nature you couldn't expect 200k life expectancy you may get out of a Civic or Accord. But I reasoned that Honda overbuilt this motor in the first place not wanting to compromise their reputation as an auto manufacturer whos engines last an incredibly long time. That plus the fact that 99.99% of the engines life it probably isn't in V-tec land anyhow. Even if you wind it out to 9k on every shift precious few owners will spend 5% of their time in the 6-9k range. That being said plus the fastidious maintainance regime that some owners follow I wouldn't be surprised to see S2000 motors holding up well past 200k.
im nowhere near you guys. although i just bought a MY2001 one month ago with 37000 miles and it now has 41000 miles. 4000/month - if i keep that up, ill be up there in no time. i cant stop driving.
i saw a toyota truck come to jiffy lube when i worked there that was used for offroad purposes and daily driver....and it was a lady! this thing had over 700,000 miles on it with original motor! i believe i remember her saying the tranny and diff had been replaced but nothing in the motor had been replaced.
