Help on scoring a new Suzuka Blue
What local dealers have people had the best luck with? I PM'ed Blair and he has no suzukas... Will any Bay Area dealers come close to invoice? I went to Larry Hopkins and the sales guy offered MSRP-$2k without any pressure from me.
Livermore and Dublin Honda both assured me they'd be willing to sell for MSRP!!! Actually the dislexic, sales guy in Dublin didn't know the price and read $38,300 from the left side of the car.
What are some of the experiences you have had? After reading about people getting O.T.D. < $30K, I feel I would hate myself for paying more than that w/o TTL!!!

You will not get out the door at < 30K...PERIOD....
If someone says they got out the door at < 30K they are either lying or they got raped and didn't know it. It's very common. In many cases they'll end up paying way too much for either interest, or they got devalued at trade in price. It is an extremely common practice which is why purchase price should ALWAYS be completely irrelevant. It is the value of the deal that matter and this includes purchase price, trade in, financing etc.
A salesman's greatest success is to take someone for as much as possible and have them be happy about it.

I didn't expect to get OTD for < $30K. That would require a price of $27,XXX. What I want to know is if anyone has found good dealerships in the bay area that will sell close to invoice. As far as I can tell, it should be possible to get the car for < $30K + TTL and it would be helpful if someone local can verify this and provide the name of the dealer/salesperson.

I got mine at invoice at Grace Honda in San Bruno....don't remember the salemen's name though. Seriously though you have a quote for 2K under MSRP from one place...you can always go to the other places and ask them to beat it. Also suggest the internet/fleet salesman, usually more willing to deal because they make up price with volume.

I sent Grace Honda an inquiry through their website. I couldn't search their inventory(S2000 was not on the menu) so, I don't even know what they have...

First off, u got a bad taste... suzuka???
If I were you, I'd just wait until the 06 models come out and 05 price would drop a little. Hopefully by then, you change your mind on the color or Blair might have a suzuka available
good luck

I'll be putting on 200-300 miles a week so I'd like something that won't look dirty right away and don't need the added attention of red or yellow...
I couldn't see myself waiting for the 06 to come out and then buying an 05...assuming there are some changes I'd most likely want an 06...
