Default IPOD to Factory radio adaptor

So I contacted Blitzsafe this afternoon. I told the young lady on the phone (Melanie) that I have an 2005 S2000 that I wanted to hook up and Ipod to. She said they just completed an adaptor and it ships next week. Here's what I understand....

The adaptor works on non-XM factory radios, and plugs into the changer plug on the back of the radio. It has the plug for the Ipod (bottom of Ipod) on the other end of the adaptor. It doesn't display any text (but the radio is behind the door anyway)! It not only plays through the radio at great quality sound, but it charges the Ipod as well! It retails for $90, and that's all I needed to hear. I ordered one, and should recieve it with the next week or so. I'll give a full right up here when it's all installed.

I've been meaning to get something for the S for music. I don't really care to swap out the radio, and the factory changer was my first thought. 8 discs isn't bad, but the new Ipod colors look amazing. So I'm getting the new 60Gb Ipod color for about $400 and the adaptor for let's say $100. That's about 15,000 songs and pics versus, 8 discs. Anyone else looking to do something like this?

Lots of us have done it, but few with 04+ S2000's have. I used a HON-AUX then got an iCruze for tighter integration.

Did you get your iPod hookup working? I'm looking for solutions to get mine hooked up and most of the options I've seen on the web don't mention the 2005.

Thanks
Michael

The Neo Ion and Dension Icelink have the same capabilities and have been out a while, but not at this pricepoint. I have the Neo running on my stock '05 HU, and it works great. Even though it's only 20gb, I also highly recommend the U2 ipod to match the red/black interior if you have it.

i'm still working closely with blitzsafe to get the adaptor. it doesn't seem to work on the newer style honda radios (the ones with the disc/aux button). i'll keep you updated.

I thought when you buy the Neo for 2005, you actually get the Dension unit? (the two companies formed a partnership)

This look interesting. It has an FM modulator AND a line out. I figure you could try the modulator first and if you don't like it, you could a hon-aux and do the line in.
