So is this product available on the market but just out of stock? Or is it not yet released? Does anyone have it installed?

Thanks for the great thread guys.. I just bought an S2k and an iPod 60g player... I found out the hard way that the FM transmitter units suck and came here to see what others have done. The integraters look awesome and I see that some claim to match line level but impedance is a big factor when going from one unit such as the iPod to anything like a car radio. Does anyone have experience with either the Neo or Blitzsafe units?

Is sound quality sacrificed at all? Any distortion?

You have a lot more patience than me! I am surprised Blitz is a little behind the ball here; some of the other adapters make a distinction between the pre-04 and 04+ radios for the very reason you've run into. I got the Dension iceLink Plus and they only offer it for the 04+ radios. It works great with the 05 and has a nice dock, but it was also $200. But it was nice to just head down to the local Best Buy to buy it; I had to hunt all over the internet to get an adapter for my wife's Acura last year.

I ended up buying the Neo... Should have it tomorrow for my new S2k. They say it not only allows the factory controls (incl. those to the left of the steering wheel) to not only skip, FF/Rew, and control volume, but also use the menu functions of the iPod.

The IceLink is the Ipod adaptor that is manufactured by Dension. I've already been through two of these and am now waiting for them to refund my money (less 15% restocking.... and shipping twice,,, )

I heard that the two companies (which used to be competitors) formed a partnership to offer eachtothers products to reduce R&D costs and cover more vehicles. If the unit you receive looks like a computer SIMM card wrapped in shrink tubing, you have the Dension unit.

Be advised that the normal operating temperature for the processor is around 105 deg. F. Keep it away from anything that causes extra heat!
