I have a brand new 05 s2000. Ordered the ice link and got a PC board shrink wrapped. Hooked in up in about 15 minutes and it works fine. The "6" button on the radio head moves through the FIRST 5 playlists, the FF button when pushed momentarily moves through the ipod playlist menu and holding the ff down for a sec or two activates the playlist displayed. I have a new color ipod, and when the ice link is hooked up the playlist appear on the ipod screen, but in very small letters. This is difficult to read.
All in all it works fine (I guess that's all that counts, but it is NOT what is represented on the website. It is not a white box with dip switches. I am not sure that it makes a difference though. Again, it works fine.

From a local dealer i just ordered the Neo Ion(Not Dension). I was going to order the Dension Ice->Link but from a few reviews just on this board it doesn't sound good. I will let you know when it comes in how it works. I'll take a few pictures of the install.

I did not like using the radio to navigate playlists, and you are right that the text is small. So, I switched the iceLink's mode to allow navigation using the iPod's interface and menus (which is way easier). Normally I get in the car, choose a playlist or artist on the iPod, and then don't need to work the controls from there. This mode still lets you use the head unit controls (and audio control near the steering wheel) to skip tracks.

I don't remember how to switch modes on the iceLink, but it's in the manual. It was real easy.

From what I've read in other posts, if you order the Neo Ion and have a MY '04+ S2K you will receive the Dension Ice Link. Apparently, the two companies have some sort of arrangement. If you get what essentially is a shrink wrapped circuit board with a wire coming out of each end then you got the ice link.

Mine is in the same spot. And after 2 hours it is dead. They are replacing the unit.. I hope it works, but I am not expecting much at this point. The problem if not heat is quality control because from what I see just as many fail as work. Would you purchase a car with that reliability?
My Mother in the early 90's had a Jaguar with that kind of reliability. Needless to say no one in my family has bought a Jaguar since. Anyway, before I found this thread I only knew two people who had an ice link and neither of us had even one problem with it. So, I was surprised when I read this thread and found so many people with problems.

It looks like Blitz has re-released (it was out for a few weeks and withdrawn for QC reasons) their interface. It is only an aux-in, so there is no Ipod control, but it does charge. http://logjamelectronics.com/blitzhonmlink1dmxv2.html

FYI to all...

I recently bought a Dension ice>link plus and installed it into my 2005 s2k. So far so good. The only issue I had was with that my iPod froze up on my once. I just reset it and all was good again. I personally have a case on my iPod which has a belt clip and I just clip it onto the net by the passengers legs. I normally have it on the passenger seat or in hand because I use the Apple UI instead of the Dension controls. Here are some good links that I used to install it...

For all of you who have an older s2k I just bought and installed a Neo Ion, which is the product for the older MY's, into my 2005 Scion xB. Again I have had no issues so far and it is working great as well!!!
