anybody had an experience with the amuse R1 titanium catback exaust?

can you feel in power gain?
how LOUD does it sound?

do you ever have doubts about this exaust?

im planning on saving money for this exaust, but would like some feedback before making any foolish decisions

If you're referring to the no-silencer version, then do a search on Amuse & you should see a couple reviews of it including mine.

yes, I can feel a power gain
too loud (for most people) for a daily driver, great for a 2nd car/weekend car
I believe MG Racing was selling for around $2195 plus shipping
Doubts?...Well, sometimes when I'm next to a cop...haha (It's pretty loud)
If u want weight savings & a great price on a titanium exhaust, Ben (Bulletproof) is having a sale for the Top Secret titanium exhaust in the "for sale" section right now.

There's at least 3 or 4 members on this board that have or have had the exhaust, perhaps they will chime in here. I have no personal experience as of yet, but this much I know:

It's the lightest thing this side of having no exhaust at all
It's the loudest thing ^
It's the most expensive catback there is ($>2000)

Cat-back exhaust systems do not net large power increases on S2000s. The Amuse system will not do much, if anything, more for peak HP than the Spoon or J's Racing exhausts, which each cost less than half as much. For about the same money, you could get the Spoon exhaust/header combination, and end up with more power.

If you're still interested, check out the pictures and sound files on Amuse's site. To (loosely) translate some of that Japanese writing: "The 8 lb. Amuse R1, with its ghetto-welded sections of straight titanium pipe, a muffler that barely muffles, and fat 4 inch tip burnt blue, is built by loonies, for loonies."

Mine should be here in a week or two.

I would have bought the Amuse R1 exhaust too, if I had the money. I settled for the J's, kind of like the poor man's Amuse exhaust

Actually I would look at this:

It seems to be a full titanium exhaust ala Amuse, but look at the price!! $1200 is an absolute bargain - The only reason not to get this exhaust would be if there is excessive noise.
