I love it! i think is funny that the srt4 makes 10 less hp with a turbo and .4 more displacement! its a good thing i have that "gas saver" vtec...it really helped put my lowly 2.0 NA.

i have yet to lose to an srt4...i would love for one of those morons to pace me on the hwy. SRT this :middlefinger: seeya!

yeah he's an idiot. he used to make claims on other sites such as he swapped a vette engine into his S2000 and all this other crap. he really has no clue.

as for the rest of that thread. it's your typical troll bullsh*t.

people who say S2k owners are all "conceited" (notice they can't even spell it right), yet I'm willing to bet they don't know 50 S2000 owners, much less all 50,000+ of them.

as for S2k vs SRT4, there is no comparison. the only thing the SRT4 can beat the S2000 in, is a straight line, and even to do that it'd need a couple mods. especially for anything up top such as a freeway run.

as for handling, i can't even imagine how much you'd have to sink into that thing to even keep up with a stock S2000.

i also laugh when SRT4 owners talk about how their car only cost $19.5k as if that matters. if they are really concerned about money spent on a car, how about the fact that after 5 years, the SRT4 is only work $4000-$5000.

 

I dont hate on many cars but a srt-4 is one of them. There are plenty of cars that run the 1/4 around the same time as the s2000 that I would never buy because I think of them as being ugly, too heavy, not sporty enough, or whatever. But I still respect the cars for what they are. Yet when I think of an srt-4, I just cant get past the fact that its a neon.... The word neon alone makes my gaydar go off. Actually, I cant think of any car besides the neon that I have 0% or maybe -123% interest in.

I agree to an extent though. I drove an SRT-4 for a winter, and while it's a lot of fun, I'd never own one.

You should respect them for their power potential though. 400whp with a stock engine/drivetrain, 500+whp if you upgrade the clutch. Not too shabby for an econobox.

Hmmm.....Why all the hate for the SRT4? It offers very good performance for the money. Even though its still a neon, it does look pretty cool IMO. LOL a lot of the owners seem to be chodes, but that is on every car board. Its funny watching everyone get their panties in a twist though.
