Default replacing soft top with hardtop

i know alot of guys keep their soft top - but im considering getting rid of mine in favor of the HT

for the guys out there that have done this, it doesnt look 'ghetto' or anything on the inside if u dont have the soft top right?

Pretty much all the serious trackers take out the soft top to save weight

This is what it looks like without the soft top assembly. Add the hard top and you got an s2000 coupe. I don't have a pic with the hardtop installed but it look very clean imo.

Looks like you have some storage space behind the seats

I guess there's not much market and nothing in it for Honda to do it, but would be nice if they had a delete soft-top-substitute Hardtop option.

How much weight is saved doing this? I would think around 70-80 lbs.

The entire soft top assembly weighs about 65lbs. Subtract 44lbs for the weight of a hard top and you get the difference saved.
I guess removal of the soft top just depends on how you use your car.

I will do this.
Is it easy? If I remove my HT and go back there, will I figure it out, or do you have any pointers for me?

No, softop folds down, hardtop goes on top. That would be kinda stupid of honda to make you remove the soft top to put on a hardtop that wasn't permanent or didn't fold.
