O, I guess it depends on the brand. I talked to a rep for Spoon Sports, their hardtops required the removal of the softtop (I guess their hardtops are for racing, so you have to remove the softtop for the weight reduction).

I will be removing the soft top when I get the Mugen CF hard top.

The whole rear deck of my S got the CF treatment, so if I leave the soft top on, no one will see the rear deck.

i plan on take out my softop, and putting nice speakers on that rear tray.. so now that my hardtop is on, i can have a real full audio sound.




but i too, seek the instructions on removing softop, motor, frame, etc.

I pulled mine and put a custom stereo with a single 10" sub in there. If you drive in the rain fast enough, you don't get wet, ( around 35 mph your ok) ask me how I know no pics sorry

i just removed my softtop and had a question.

when i installed the recievers w/o the softtop there was no place for the 2 bolts that are towards the rear. did you guys just skip these bolts?

i actually cut the spot-welds on the soft top that hold the pins in so I could use the rear bolts to keep it semi oem....
