Default MY06 Passenger Seat Back

The passenger seat back is not reclining as far back as the driver's seat back. Took the car to the Honda Service Dept., who "replaced all the moving parts" and returned it in the same condition. We asked them what the problem was and they wouldn't even concede there was a problem. They said that maybe the seats are supposed to be that way Anyone one else have this experience with the seat backs? If so, how did you get the situation resolved?

I think that's just the way it is. I was startled too, to find that the passenger's seat doesn't recline like the driver's does.

I'd like it to, but it's really not a big deal.

"YO YO Dawg," I don't pimp my ride Glad to know that others have noticed the same oddity about the seat backs. I don't get it. Why would Honda do this on purpose First they make it difficult to even get into the passenger side of the car. Now our passengers are made to feel uncomfortable. Is this a theme...a message to leave the +1 at home?

I am having the same trouble and my girl friend likes to recline (way too far back for my tastes). I was lucky enough to get a MY 06 loaner for a long weekend before I bought my car and this cars seat went all the way back, however, it sqeaked something awful against the plastic behind the seat.

Do you think my car doesn't go back that far for this reason? Any info would be great since she thinks I bought a car specifically since she won't like to ride in it.

We're being told by the dealership that the passenger side does not recline as far as the driver side. The salesguy got into a couple of S's to test it out...and sure enough...they were all the same Interested if others have had a different experience, because this is just weird

How about MY 05 or 04? How far back do they go? It is just weird. In fact, my passenger seat will go all the way back, but it won't lock in and just pops back.

Any ideas?

The 06 S has an automatic airbag switch on the passenger side seat only. The sensor for the switch is built into the seat. I'm guessing that the seat sensor is only accurate within a certain range, thats why the recline is limited. Kinda Sucks, I like to really lay out when I'm riding shotgun. It's one of the first things I noticed when I first got the car. Fortunately I'm the one driving the car 99.9% so i don't notice it that much, and my wife could give a Shit. I think Honda could have spent a little bit more time engineering this, I don't think it would've taken that much more effort, but I'm probably wrong.
