Default engine noise (videos are up... )

here are the videos (2 links for each one just in case 1 doesnt work)

sorry these are at night-

1st one- with open hood - i start out up top- then go to wheel well- then come back up and rev it so you guys can here the tap/knock

second one- real short from outside with hood closed

fresh valve adj. and fresh plugs
synthetic oil
oil level is good

two mechanics tell me it sounds normal- car runs great except the first start of the day at the first few lights it kinda lumps ( very lightly- can barely tell)

also- here is a pic highliting the area where i am getting the newspaper in fan noise when throttle is applied-sounds like it is coming from the top pulley (different noise then the knock)

thanks

Can't really tell anything unusual in either of those 2 vids. The picture you put up is the tensioner pulley. Carefully put a socket on the center bolt and apply force to loosen the pulley, then try the other way. Does the noise change?

I'm just a regular car guy who does a lot of his own wrenching in his own garage. No tech or professional.

so the knock.... or tap or whatever that is normal? the video displays the noise pretty well right? i know forged pistons knock a little but wasnt sure it was that much. and as far as adjusting the pulley- do it while the car is running?
