Default Venture Tape Thread (Tangoman Specific)

Has anyone else had this stuff fitted to the bumper bonnet etc??

It is designed to cut down damage caused by stonechips and minor abrasions.

We use it on our F1 cars and are directly supplied by Venture tape so its a proven product on the racetrack.

Here is a pic of a piece fitted on a race car for a demo. Look how the paint is damaged but the section with the tape is untouched. Good eh!!

My S is booked in at the AMI Group (they specialise in Prestige Cars, Ferrari Lambo etc) in Tring to have the Hood, Bumper, Front wings, Wingmirrors and Sills as soon as it is delivered.

Sounds pricey, how does it compare to Paintshield, Rhino protect, etc?

Is it very visible on a road car? My mums car has armourfend, but it's quite visible, especially on the fronts of the rear wing.

They quoted the same for the whole car as described at both Paintshield and Rhino (They use the same tape).

I have seen the stuff fitted on Nigel Rouse's White NSX and i was well impressed, you can't see it unless you get really close up to the edges.

It has to be worth it on the S, my last one was battered by stonechips!!

I want to get Paintshield or Armourfend on my next car, as my S suffered badly from stonechips. Apparently the 3M stuff is what you want as it doesn't dull, yellow or let water under it.

The 3M stuff is the stuff that turns yellow, thats why most F1 teams have turned to Venture Tape.

We used to use the 3M stuff but it just looks nasty after a few races.
