Default Non-Adjust Front Sways

So I got a Christmas/Birthday "gift certificate" from my sister and brother-in-law for a front swaybar. (if I can afford to keep the S) They were planning on about 160.00, as I mentioned the Tanabe front sway from evasivemotorsports. I'll be running an '04 on RT615's or MX's, so I don't think I need the super-stiff stuff, anyway.

However, this has gotten quite confusing due to the problem of different materials and wall thickness, yielding outside diameter a little less meaningful.

I've considered,

the 2000-2001 OEM front sway
the tanabe front sway-chromeoly steel
the whiteline front sway -50% stiffer- than what year???

Does anyone have concrete information? My forum searches seemed to end in the same confusion.

I noticed the Saner Fabrication bar was the right price, but I don't want to mess with stuff that doesn't fit properly.

Thanks,
Tom

I hope the Saner bar fits properly...my OEM bar was used as the pattern!

Bad thing is...I've heard that some folks are having a hard time getting in touch with them, so not really sure if they are still in business.

Something about the endlink spacers deforming, etc.

Looks like the Whiteline would be a good choice. After visiting their website, leaning towards it now. Apparently, up to 50% stiffer than stock (some year).

Anyone know of anything stiffer for approximately 200.00, outside of the Saner?

For the Whiteline, call Global Performance. There is a man named Glenn there, very easy to deal with.

I would stay away from the Tanabe one. You could also look at Swift, or comptech non-adjust bar.

The Swift is too expensive, so I guess it's Whiteline or an early oem. Where is the cheapest place to buy the whiteline? I only know of MUZ and Global Performance.

Also, does anyone know the wall thickness of the 2004 OEM front swaybar?

Thx,
Tom
