Default Driveshaft spacers

I need some sort of clarification on this spacer subject.

I have lowered my car, about 2,5 cm. Some say I need to use driveshaft spacers to safe my driveshafts from wear n' tear caused by the lowered suspension. Some say that the '06 car has been upgraded so that the shafts would not be damaged.

What do you guys say?

Hmm, IMHO, the AP-2 driveshafts are known to be different. But you HAVE modified the car from it's stock configuration. Do you need DSS? I don't know, I can't help out.

I'm putting them on my lowered AP-1.

are you sure about that? j's spacers are 10mm, and honda only extended the driveshafts by 5mm. honda designed the driveshaft length for stock ride height, so if it were me, i'd get new spacers.

I havent yet heard of anyone with an AP2 with an issue when lowered. If i am wrong, please do correct me.

The motorklasse spacers are 7.5mm, so IF you were to require some for an AP2, they would likely be the ones to use.

I got this from A&J Racing...

T1R Half shaft spacers - Honda S2000 00-06 AP1 / AP2
When lowering a S2000 , its driveshaft angle will definitely need re-adjustments due to the modifications applied, in this case, the lowering of the suspension. This is due to the fact that lowering a S2000 creates unwanted space in between the driveshaft roller and spider (inside of the driveshaft), causing the inboard joint to unevenly wear out. With the installation of T1R Half shaft spacers, it will prevent the driveshaft from losing its regular position and it is highly recommended for any lowered S2000.

Made out of CNC machined Forged aluminum for strength and durability. Special innovative design for easy installation unlike other brands that required to remove the entire driveshaft.

Available in 2007 Spring !
