Default Alarm Query

Following my earlier problem with the alarm going off being linked to a partially flat battery, which was resolved with guidance from forum members by the suggesting the purchase of a battery confditioner, another issue has developed.

I need to leave the bonnet up with the conditioner connected, and when I activate the alarm there would be a loud beep, the car locked and everything OK till the next time I diarmed the alarm / opened the car. Thinking about it, I don't know if the alarm was in fact activated after the loud beep?

Occasionally, I didn't get the loud beep when arming the alarm and within the next few minutes (within an hour probably) the alarm would go off. The problem I now have is that I am not getting the loud beep when arming the alarm with the bonnet up, and hence the alarm going off.

My question is therefore - is the alarm activated after the loud beep and if it is, is there anything I can do to get it back - as ever - thanks very much.

The loud beep is a warning to say a door, boot or bonnet is open, I have locked mine with the bonnet up, get the loud beep but the alarm was still activated.

Sounds like a sticking switch on yours?
