Default Confirm MY2002 suspension changes

Anyone visiting the UK forum will note the article in EVO magazine comparing the boxster and 2002 s2000. In its original test, EVO ragged on the S2k for its poor handling on uneven surfaces (probably bumpsteer related)

In new comparo test, EVO regards the 2002 as a huge change. On discussion with Honda, then confirm:
- thinner sway bars
- uprated spring rates
- revised damper settings.

Can ppl with 2002 models anywhere in teh world, sneak under their cars and measure the diameter of their rear swaybars?

Cheers

UK sales average about 100 per month... there should be some 2002 owners around by now. I agree, it would be very interesting to find out what the new specs are.

That write up is in the April issue of evo. The changes could be to UK spec cars only, as the UK dealers were the originators of a tech bulletin changing UK alignment specs for 00 and 01 models.

Makes it all the more interesting to find out. My garage is too cramped for me to go check (and it's snowing outside), so I hope someone else checks both here in the US and in the UK.

There are a few MY2002's around in the UK, though no-one has yet posted measurements. I've a friend who is due to get a MY2002 in a few weeks. He's going to be measuring the anti-roll bars for me. I'll post when I've got the figures.

From what I've read only UK writer's posted that a suspension change was coming and now that it's happened, only UK writer's are posting that it happened. So its very possible the changes might be limited to that market. Sooner or later we should be able to confirm what and where.
