We get deluged with thread after thread after thread all asking essentially the same thing - which oil to use to top up and at servicing.

FWIW, the concensus of much previous discussion about oil in the UK forum has been that any decent synthetic 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30 or 10W-40 will provide sufficient protection in our climate.
