Just got back from the Indiana Jones flick....
it felt more like the 2nd and 3rd movie
it was better than temple of doom but not near the quality of lost ark.
Visually it was mostly good but some of the sets looked like sets when they were supposed to be on location. too much digital compositing there.
The special effects and sequences were cool as hell. digitally putting the actors in the action is getting better and better.
The storyline was a bit too close encounters for me...
6 out of 10...see it in the theaters to get the scope of work, but dont have your hopes to high for it. Think Last Crusade caliber with much better effects.

i could have sworn at some point that spielberg said they were going to keep the cgi to a minimum. what bull. i cant believe they couldnt find anything better to do than aliens. in the previous movies indy discovered history, they never rewrote history, replacing everything with ALIENS!!!!!!! my roommate is the biggest indiana jones nerd, and she cried at the end. and still refuses to talk about it.
yeah i wish they could have just done what national treasure did and expound and give creative liscence to actual history.
the crystal skulls do have alien conspiracies around them but Spielberg does not have to take all his movies to ET-ville like that.
