Xtant Amp & Sony Changer Install (No holes drilled into the car) Pics
Here are some pictures of my amp and changer install. The best thing about this install was I didn't need to drill any holes into the car . I've had no skipping problems with the changer to date, and those of you who are not familiar with PA roads, we are the pot hole capital of the world . I have also had no cooling problems with the amp either.
I was able to mount the amp and keep the tools.
Changer is mounted to a piece of plywood custom cut to fit tight in the corner, and velcro in several places on the bottom of the plywood to hold it in place. I only used the rough part of the velcro and it grips the carpet.
This is what it looks like without the covers.
This is what it looks like done. I can still get a full size tour golf bag in the trunk, and we all know how important that is .
If anyone would like to do a similar install let me know. I can send you the pattern for the changer mounting board, and cover so you don't need to spend all the time making the pattern.
I'm currently running a Sony CDX-M750 headunit and CDX-T68X changer, and will probably be changing the headunit to the new Alpine CDA-7998 currently not available until June hopefully. I also have Boston Acoustic RC620 components in the doors and 4" round RX47 Boston's behind the seats. Now, I'm just looking for a place for a sub to round out the sound. I'm trying to do this without major reduction in storage space.
My goal is loud clear crisp sound while driving top down, and maintaining a factory look.

Looks great.
I would have gone with the T70 changer though. It's similar to the 68 and 69, but accepts MP3 CD's. I use it's big brother (CDX-757MX) with my CDX-M750 and it is great.
Might be a good idea to vent the amp cover too. Might get a bit hot down there.
