Default Invidia 70mm Dual vs HKS Hi-Power

I currently have an HKS Hi-Power on my car and loooove the sound but kind of wanted an exhaust with a little more ooomph and lighter weight. I found a good deal on an Invidia 70mm dual exhaust setup and was wondering how loud that is compared to the HKS Hi-Power dual. I did a search and some of the posts about the exhaust scared the crap out of me (aka not being able to hear too well right after an hour ride, etc.) and wanted to know if this is indeed true or a little exaggerated. Could they also be talking about the 70mm single and not dual? Would the Invidia work on my s2k that I drive daily? Also, how bad really is the drone in the 3k-4.5k range?

Any help would be appreciated!

Oh and I was also curious whether an AP1 fitment Invidia can be modified to fit an AP2?

Yes and I believe in can be modified with a different rubber hanger but I'm not sure. I love the sound of mine but the drone was annoying so I replaced the resonator with a larger more stock like one and its sounds great now. Under normal driving conditions its not that loud only when you get on it.

the drone is crazy, but it's not hard to control it. you learn to control the drone after a day or so.

as far as volume, yeah it's crazy... my invidia 63mm dual was louder than my T1R 70R v3 single, confirmed by multiple sources

but if you found a good deal, i'd say go for it. i had an invidia 63mm dual then switched to HKS, then switched back to invidia 63mm. there were definitely noticeable gains from the 63mm, so i bet the 70mm will be even better. the sound from the invidia is much more satisfying than from the HKS...a lot more mean and robust sounding. Invidia is definitely a high quality product with excellent fitment and i'd definitely buy invidia products in the future.

Get the T1R 70mm sparrow exhausts. Amazing sound. Invidias sound horrible IMO.

invidia are the drone kings.
lol

and compared to your HKS, its like night and day. (the invidia is SO DAMN LOUD.)

note: i have a spoon n1 without test pipe(lota drone) but its still not nearly as bad as invidia duals. and believe me, my n1 is loud.

Invidia will be way louder. If you're looking to get rid of that HKS, let me know ;]
