Custom fiberglass sub enclosure in footwell
It is a Pioneer premier 8" shallow mount (2 1/2" depth) TS-SW841D

I put no grill on it (yet), just the carpeting over the speaker.
I calculated .21 cubic feet (minimum per Pioneer .15)
You could make it with more volume by making the enclosure deeper on the transmission side, so the depth is consistent left to right. I would do this if i were doing it over as the carpeting would actually lay down over it a bit better. Mine is tapered - deeper at the sub and thinner at the trans side.
It is secured by a tab I molded that goes over the carpet hold down stud at the top, and a strap on the floor that keeps the bottom pushed forward. It is a snug fit side to side secondary to the back being molded using the car as the mold:

There is no loss of leg room at the floor, the carpet crease is unchanged, but the angle is steeper for about 1" loss at the top. I modified the side panel:

The sound is just what you would expect from an eight inch... which is not a ten or twelve, but totally adequate... (and it is INSIDE the car!)
Power is an Alpine PDX-5
I also put diamond audio 600s in the doors and 500s in SPODS.
Alpine X100 HU.
Oh yeh... Tweeters in the doors a la Darknight1999:

Looks nice! I like that you were smart enough to make a mounting tab at the front
