Default Oil capacity please answer

Yesterday I went for my first oil and filter change.
They put 5 lt. at first but the stick indicated that it needs more so to have the full reading they add another 0.5 lt.
On my return home I read in the manual that oil capacity without oil filter is 4.2 lt with filter is 4.8 and total is 5.6 lt. So I think that they have put about 0.7 lt more oil.
Is this bad for the engine ?
I did not see any white smoke though.........
Please answer me.

We have found it takes about 5.5 quarts (5.2 liters) to get the level back to full (as new) when doing a filter change. I know this is different than the documentation (either the specifications or the dip stick is not quite right) but it is true for all cars. It sounds like the change for your car was done properly and you should not be concerned.

I believe the information in the manual is a misprint. 5.5 - 5.6 is right on.
