European radio owners: what are your FM and AM tuning ranges?
My American Alpine manual states the following: FM 87.7 - 107.9 MHz, AM 530 - 1710 kHz
What are your tuning ranges?
thanks,
gil

Well, here's what I found at Panasonic's UK support site:
FM 87.5 - 108 MHz
AM (MW) 531 - 1602 kHz
AM (LW) 153 - 279 kHz
So, I guess we should be able to use a European deck in the US, right? Although, we'll lose a little AM range from the bottom and top.
Maybe it's time to start looking at some of those European Alpine decks.

There isn't really anything gained or lost in the different tuner ranges. European (Canadian I think, too) use a 9kHz step on the AM band (note all the European AM boundary frequencies are divisible by 9). As long as the unit isn't pre-programmed to tune in 9Khz jumps, you should be okay.
