Drivers door unlocking/locking/"re-unlocking"
Ok, when my driver's door is open and I lock it (by pulling out the handle and locking it at the same time), is it possible to "re-unlock" it without closing it first? It won't let me do it, is my lock tab jammed or is this a normal operation. It wouldn't even "re-unlock" using the remote, it would just try really hard and then beep at me.
I realize that this is a really obscure event that you would want to unlock it again after locking it, so if someone maybe could run out to their car and try it and post back, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Edit: I just had my whole door pulled apart by a body shop so I need to make sure that they put it back together again correctly. (this isn't just a whim)

Like i said before:
To Lock:
-pull the handle and lock the lever
To unlock:
-pull the handle
-pull the lock out until it binds up
-release the handle while holding pressure on the lock and it will open all the way.

The same thing. the latch changes the lock knobs behavior. That's why you can lock and unlock the knob with the door closed. If you want to use the remote to lock or unlock the door, you'd have to hold the handle. The only problem with that is the S won't let you lock the doors at all with the fob unless the doors are closed.
Your car acts like every single honda, and is working correctly.
