Default "Only oil temp facts"

I am posting this thread to gather as much info as possible about oil temperatures on the track I am not interested in street numbers but actually hot track days with truly pushing the car.

Today I have hit the ~265 oil temps on Mobil 1. This is a track S2000 with no AC and stripped out.

What are you guys seeing out there?

Kinda hot. 250+ isn't ideal and starts to thin the oil out. It will start to break down and blow stuff up at 300*F if not before that. Try to get it below 220 with an oil cooler.

I don't quite see the correlation between oil temps and tire size/compound. Regardless, get an oil cooler!

Sorry, no facts just questions.

Where did you measure oil temp?
What was the coolant temp at the time?
There is a small OEM oil-to-coolant heat exchanger behind the oil filter, so the coolant shoud be high too when you see 265F oil.
How is the air flow through the radiator?

What I mean is: Rs = faster laps = more load on the engine = higher temps. I could be wrong but that

From the Greddy sandwich between the filter and the block.
