250F= 121C
for an N/A i've gone alot hotter than that. gone up to 141C on the track when the ambient temp was 34C 99%humidity (no oil cooler at that stage)

on a hot day as above even with a 19row oil cooler with a spal fan on top of the cooler oil temp can hit 129C but as soon as u back off oil temp plummets back down to 100C whereas before installing the oil cooler temps stay a lot higher for longer

doesnt really matter what oil. tried mobil 1, shell ultra helix, royal purple, valvoline synpower. all about the same temp.
i change my engine oil after evey track day, gear box oil after every 2nd track day, and diff oil about every 5 track days

Yes and no, but their's not a very good correlation between increased oil temps due to increased grip. Oil starvation is a different animal though, where their is a much better relation.
I am thinking with Rs you have more grip through the turn (all aspects equal to the street tire setup) That means you will most likely be faster in the straights = higher temps.

Now as I said that

I was just surprised to see ~265. My old race car was around 210 ---> 220 on very hot days.

I spoke with some fellow engineers and they said 260 is high and that

I talked to Redline (the oil I use) and they said 260 is normal for their oil. They said anything above 350~400 is not good.

My friend who

If your worried about oil pressure with the cooler you can add a washer behind the bolt for the oil pump and increase the pressure.

Thanks for the info, it seems that you race your S2000. Do you have an oil cooler? Do you have a temp gauge?

Can you provide us with more info on your setup please.

thanks

You would be very illadvised to not add an oil cooler to your car. It's not even July, let alone August; your temps are definitely going to get hotter.

Here is what I got from an experiance man

"sharing info with the community"

Without a cooler, extended oil temps of 300+ can become an issue (and you can run well into the 350 degree range for short stints if you have good quality oil, I wouldn't recommend it, but it can be done).

260 is not even high enough I would even bother to look at the gauge.
As long as the pressure is still holding when it is hot, and you're running a good synthetic like Mobil 1, then those temps should not be an issue.
Also as long as the engine coolant temp is steady, then just keep and eye on oil pressure (or get a low pressure idiot light).
I'd bet that car runs in the 220 degree range for coolant temps too. The super high efficiency Honda stuff tends to keep the coolant temps high to help maximize efficiency.

You want the minimum oil temp to be in the 220+ degree range, otherwise the engine oil will not separate from the moisture accumulation in the engine oil (steaming/boiling it off).
