I shorted my lighter socket yesterday when my phone charger came apart inside it. my radio will not work and that socket is not giving power. checked all fuses even in back of the radio. what can I check next?
yeah you gotta check the fuse that according to honda has nothing to do with the radio, but when you replace it somehow the radio works again. No bs, happened to me too
Same happened to me not long ago. Found the fuse which was for accessory/radio had blown, no big deal. For both not to still be working, it must be a fuse, should be on the fuse panel by your leg.
But I bought some replacement fuses which have an LED built in to indicate when it's blown. Heaps easier in the dark
Sorta along the lines but, could it be a grounding problem if when I plug in my phone charger at times, it shorts out my radio and socket plug but my radio still shows the illumination going to the buttons if the light is on? Car's driving me crazy when the radio goes out randomly at times.
