Default Install Pics: Cadence Amp and Sub, Sony CD Changer

I told my installer I wanted a clean install of a Cadence Z6000 amp, Cadence 10" Beast Sub, and Sony 6-Disc Changer. Here's what my installer came up with.

The sub is actually in a sealed box; the result is no rattling and solid powerful bass. The grill cover didn't come with the sub; it's something made by Kicker, I believe. I wanted something to protect the cone when I want to put stuff in the trunk.

The CD Changer fit perfectly in the back wall...wedged over the gas tank. This is the only cutting that was done in the original trunk.

The Amp was the challenge, since it's very big. The solution was to mount at an angle behind the sub box. It's held in with two screws, making it very easy to loosen and remove to make adjustments, change wiring, etc.

By the way, that is a false floor that you see. The tools are wrapped up and stored in the spare tire. The Factory floor is intact in my garage, in case I ever want to return it to stock.

There have been many sweet installs posted on this site. Hope this helps give new someone some fresh ideas for their install.

I like it! Very clean install. Great job. What speakers are you using up front? Again, great looking install.

Thanks, PAS2Knut

Up front I have Cadence ZXN-5K components in the doors, and Cadence ZXN-52 Coaxials behind the seats (mounted in, of course, a pair of Lucid-cut panels). My head-unit is a Sony CDX-M610, and I have one of S2Kman's Sony Dash Control Units that lets me use the dash-mounted controls to the left of the steering wheel.

My goal was just to have a system that had good, clean sound at 70 with the top down. Not only is the sound solid and clean, certain CDs (like Crystal Method's Vegas) and the little 10" Beast make my S vibrate!

And a happy car means a happy driver!
