Hard wire radar detector
I am not the very best with tools and I was able to hardwire mine in under 10 minutes. This is really easy to do on the S2000 and there is a tread on exactly how to do it with great pictures if you do a search. I have an 8500 and the cord is thin enough that I did not have to take off a single bolt or trim piece. I was able to just slide the cord under the trim and all the way to the lower left windshield corner. There I had to use a small plastic piece to help work it around and under the trim there and then into the door jamb area and down to the fuse box. I used the cord for the 8500 that included the remote. Had I just wired it for power it would have been even quicker. I understand the V-one uses the same type cords so it should be a snap to do. The 8500 had a male connector on the positive lead that I had to cut off and replace with a female. If the V-one has a female connector it will be even quicker.
Save your money! Even if you do have to pull off the a-pillar and the windshield frame/map lights it takes 15 minutes. The toughest part is getting into the footwell area to loosen the grounding bolt to ground the unit. AZ members have done this several times now and only one electrical engineer in the bunch.
