Default Anyone own an Alpine IDA head Unit?

Hi Guys

I'm looking at upgrading my head unit and I'm going to go for the Alpine IDA- X301RR. I'm just concerned that I won't be able to close the radio door if I fitted this head unit. Can anyone confirm that the radio door closes alright with these Units?

Thanks in advance

I just recently had the IDA-X305 installed and I can confirm that the door does close properly.

im going to order the 305 sometime soon. i have heard it fits perfectly, but if it does have a problem, you can trim the the back and move the metal tabs back.

It fits fine as long as you don't have any business cards or parking cards in the radio door slot.

I'm actually looking at this head unit as well
The iDA-X305
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/p...?model=iDA-X305

I have an iphone and with my previous gen Alpine H/U and ipod adapter I had some limitations with what it could and couldn't do... This head unit ndicates that it is ipod and iphone compatable..

Does this mean:

1. it plays itunes off the iphone (this one I'm assuming is a yes)
2. does it charge the iphone while it's connected
3. does connecting it disable the phone feature
4. if I run an app like pandora, will it play pandora through the head unit?

Thanks in advance.

1. yes it should work with your iphone the same as your ipod
2. you need to get the alpine ipod cable (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-KWWKj82...Pod-cable.html) if you want it to charge while connected, the cable that comes with it won't charge the ipod
3. not sure
4. its the same as streaming music so it should but I never tried it
