Does anyone know if the Honda-installed XM antenna/receiver system works with these Alpine HUs? I have a MY06 with the factory/dealer XM antenna and receiver setup installed.
I envision a basic upgrade at this time with something like the Alpine iDA-X305 w/Modifry DCI/PNP, as described here. Wondering if I would need a new XM setup if I wanted to continue with satellite radio. On the other hand, sat radio would not be a big deal for me since I could then listen to my iPod.
I have searched the forums but cannot find a definitive answer. Thanks for any help!
I got the ida-100. Mine doesnt fit in all the way though. You have the press the radio cover a certain way to open and close it but i like it like that because its more theft proof i think. I got my unit used off ebay for like 120 bucks! I bought the face and headunit from two different users though. Works great!

) if the factory connector is proprietary.I belive Sirius bought XM, so the Alpine sirius tuner should be the one you need. You should call XM or Sirius about transferring your subscription to the new receiver before you buy it
I just scored my NIB IDA-X100 for $161.55 to my door. Should be here tomorrow!
While there has been a few posts about the SQ, after I had a chance to listen with a good amp/speakers, the jazzy UI/IPod/USB integration totally sold me for a car audio setup.

Got mine in Wed, got my Modifry harnes in today, and I'm all installed! Really awesome, sounds better (seems cleaner, crisper, bass a little more isolated and punchy).
I ran the USB interface cable into the secret compartment which is a great place to store an iPOD (the smaller front compartment.). I would up not removing it, just the two screws at the bottom and using a hanger to pull the connector up and through.
I initially used the iPOD specific harness, but realized it (KCE-422) isn't the preferred connection for later gen models, so instead of pulling both wires to the SC, I just pulled the regular USB (which is faster, shows ablum art, etc.). I also tried a 16GB USB stick and it also worked perfect!
I'm going to set a custom wallpaper/BG in just a sec, but I've got the illumination and BG set for red which looks pretty outstanding with the OEM red lighting.
100% satisfied
